The skinny:
You might not be able to pronounce his name, but guess what, you probably can’t catch him either. Zaccheaus brings an added dimension the Virginia backfield, and is one of the quickest guys in UVa’s class of 2015 Speaking of speed, the Cavaliers came at Zaccheaus fast at the beginning of the summer, and the staff wrapped up his recruitment at the end of July.
This past fall, Zaccheaus helped his team capture the state title for the second consecutive season. In the final game, Zaccheaus rushed for a pair of touchdowns and also picked off a pass to secure the victory for the Hawks.
In case you haven’t figured it out yet, he is fast. Zaccheaus is a burner coming out of the backfield, and can also be utilized on jetsweeps, as well as the return game. Zaccheaus’ speed is the perfect compliment to fellow running back commit Chris Sharp’s power.
It is unclear if Zaccheaus will redshirt or play this coming fall. Smoke Mizzell and Daniel Hamm give the Cavaliers plenty of speed in backfield, and Jordan Ellis will be coming off of a redshirt season. Whenever he does play however, it will be a ton of fun hearing the PA announcer shout his name.
