Get Them While They're Hot!

Florida and LSU are the favorites to win the 2015 College World Series. Virginia is...somewhere near the bottom. Okay, actually, Virginia's at the very bottom.

According to Bovada, here are the lines as of noon today:

Odds to Win the 2015 NCAA College World Series
Florida 5/2
LSU 11/4
Vanderbilt 4/1
Miami 9/2
TCU 9/1
Arkansas 10/1
CS Fullerton 14/1
VIRGINIA 14/1

Obviously, based on the above, Virginia has the lowest odds of bringing home the national championship. For more, and for specific games, we also looked at 5Dimes. As of the time of this posting:

Money line odds to win the College World Series:

  • Florida: +260
  • LSU: +260
  • Vanderbilt: +340
  • Miami: +480
  • TCU: +1000
  • Arkansas: +1100
  • CS Fullerton: +1500
  • Virginia: +1800

So again, Virginia's not looking so hot, with the worst odds of the lot. This means that if you bet $100 for Virginia to win the whole thing, you'd win $1,800 (i.e., get paid out $1,900).

The over/under for the UVA-Arkansas game is set at 9.5. On straight money line, it's Virginia +100, Arkansas -140, or you can take Arkansas -1.5, where Virginia is -190 and Arkansas +150

Around the rest of the field, this is what we're looking at for the first round of games:

Team Run Line Money Line Total Points
Miami +1.5 -175 +135 Over 11.5 -115
Florida -1.5 +135 -175 Under 11.5 -125
TCU +1.5 -175 +145 Over 8.5 -120
LSU -1.5 +135 -185 Under 8.5 -120
CS Fullerton +1.5 +100 +185 Over 8.5 -115
Vanderbilt -1.5 -140 -265 Under 8.5 -125
