Sacha Killeya-Jones decommits from Virginia

The four-star prospect has stepped back on his verbal commitment to the Cavaliers.

Four-star 2016 power forward and former Virginia commit Sacha Killeya-Jones has opened up his recruitment again, he told Scout.com's Rob Harrington Tuesday.

"I feel like I may have rushed my decision. I still love Virginia but just want to reaffirm that’s the right choice for me and plan to take some other visits," Killeya-Jones told Scout.

He originally committed to Virginia on New Year's Day, the third of what had been four commits to the 2016 class; Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome both gave verbal commitments before him and Jay Huff committed just a couple weeks ago.

Originally from Chapel Hill, NC, Killeya-Jones held offers from Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and VCU, among others. Since then, his stock and exposure have skyrocketed, and there's bound to be a floodgate of offers coming to his mailbox now that he's offered up a green light again.

The 6-10. 207-pound big man is ranked as the number 114 player in the nation for Rivals.

No word yet on who Killeya-Jones's potential suitors might be going forward, but from all indications it appears that UVa hasn't dropped off his list completely.
