Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

Time: 4:00 PM
Place: Davenport Field, Charlottesville VA
TV: ESPNU/ESPN3
Radio: Virginia Sports Radio Network

Last Meeting: UVA 11, Maryland 2 (2014 Charlottesville Super Regional Game 3)
Odds: UVA - 120

For the second consecutive season, the Virginia Cavaliers will host the Super Regionals against Maryland, with a trip to the College World Series in Omaha on the line.  Maryland is also making their second-ever Super Regional Appearance, while UVA has made it this far six of the past seven years (and hosted five of the past six).

UVA leads the all-time series between the two teams 111-80-1, and hasn't dropped a three-game series against the Terps since 1998.

Game 1 features Maryland ace Mike Shawaryn (13-2 1.66 ERA) squaring off against Connor Jones (6-2 2.90 ERA) for the Wahoos.  (We've highlighted both starters in our "Pitching Preview.") Maryland will be the home team (with UVA taking their home dugout back in game 2 and game 3, if necessary).

Your pregame reading is available in our "UVA-Maryland Story Stream."

First pitch in Charlottesville is at 4 PM. Leave your pre-game, in-game, and post-game banter here. And, as always, let's go Hoos!
