It's been a tale of two quarters in Charlottesville so far.
Notre Dame came out hot and walked the ball down the throats of the Cavalier defense. A trick field goal by Notre Dame put the Irish up 6-0, but they failed to convert the 2-point attempt. Two more field goals in the first quarter, and things looked bleak as Notre Dame ended the first 15 minutes with a twelve-point lead.
But then came Papa Johns. Johnnsy Football. Matty Nice.
Matt Johns capped off a strong Cavalier drive that spanned the first and second quarters with a touchdown to Evan #ButtsTuff Butts.

The Hoos were able to stop Notre Dame the next time out and get the ball back. With the ball just barely into ND territory, Steve Fairchild went to the back of the playbook and Johns converted.
