STL's Preseason ACC Power Rankings

Football season is upon us, so let's see who we think is at the top....and the bottom...of the ACC coming into this 2015 season.

Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

Ahh, the fall is here. Leaves will begin to change. The temperature (hopefully) will begin to fall. Pumpkin beers will hit the shelves (that actually happened about a month ago). And the pigskin will finally hit the gridiron for all of us to watch on Saturdays and Sundays.

Like we've done in previous years, we here at Streaking the Lawn will power rank how we think all the teams in the ACC are playing week in and week out. Since the season has not started, but begins this weekend (!!!!), we decided to rank them heading into the season.

1. Florida State Seminoles
The Noles will try and pick up from where they have left off the previous two seasons. Although they did not win it all last season, making the first ever BCS Playoffs isn't something to be ashamed of. They lost a lot when Jameis left for the Bucs, but as FSU does, they have recruited exceptionally well and should be loaded (talent-wise) at nearly every position.

2. Clemson Tigers
You want to know how Clemson's season is going to go? Watch Deshaun Watson. If Watson can stay healthy the entire season, and their defense can be at least average, the Tigers should compete for the ACC Championship game, if not the playoffs.

3. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
The Jackets had a solid season last year and are a darkhorse to do big things in in the Conference. They played a poo out of conference slate last season, but have both Notre Dame and UGA on the schedule this season. If GT can get through those games undefeated they could be headed for a surprise appearance in the Playoffs.

4. Louisville Cardinals
I am going to be honest. I think Louisville wins the ACC this season, but does not make the playoffs. They've got a tough opener against Auburn and play at FSU, but they get Clemson and UVa at home. Could be a fun year for the Cardinals.

5. VPISU Hokies
They're going to get blown out by Ohio State. Their defense is going to be good. Their offense is going to be dreadful. Solid 8 win season for Beamer.

6. Miami Hurricanes
I don't know. Do you? Al Golden might be able to be an assistant in Charlottesville next year if he wants.

7. Duke Blue Devils
Duke was the hardest to pick for us. Some think they could have another great year and maybe get blown out in the Championship game. Others think they'll be down there with UVa, BC, Cuse, and Wake for worst in the conference.

8. N.C. State Wolfpack
They had a good season last year thanks to 4 out of conference games against teams that would not have competed for the VHSL title. This year is no different with Troy, South Alabama (USA! USA! USA!), ODU, and Eastern Kentucky. Doeren went 8-5 in his first season and if they do even decent in their ACC schedule they'll come close to that again.

9. North Carolina Tar Heels
Similar to Miami. Every year we think UNC will figure something out and become a legit contender. I have no idea if it'll be this year or not.

10.  Pittsburgh Panthers
Best new coach in the conference. If Narduzzi can use what he learned at MSU and built off of what Chryst left behind, the Panthers could be in the top half of the conference before Halloween.

11 (tie). Boston College Eagles
They made a bowl last year, so that's good.

11 (tie). Virginia Cavaliers
I petitioned to skip football season and go straight to basketball. I really did.

13. Syracuse Orange
Still trying to be hard nosed

14. Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Nope, still don't want to talk about Wake football.

In an effort to be fully transparent and accountable, here's how we all voted. Let us you know where we went wrong and what you think the power rankings should look like!
