HALFTIME: Virginia leads Clemson 31-28

CU's Blossomgame leads all scorers

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Virginia Cavaliers lead the Clemson Tigers at the break, 31-28. Malcolm Brogdon leads the Hoos with 9 points, while London Perrantes has snagged the most rebounds (yes really) with 4.

Clemson's Jaron Blossomgame has 13 points for the Tigers. Blossomgame has shot 56 percent from the field, including three of five from beyond the arc. He is also Clemson's leading rebounder.

Tony Bennett went with the same starting lineup in consecutive games for the first time in 2016. Devon Hall repaid the kindness by opening the scoring with a three-pointer. The lead seesawed back and forth eight times in the first half, but Virginia has held the advantage for more than 13 of the first 20 minutes.

Anthony Gill has picked up two personal fouls in the opening stanza. No other Cavalier has more than one. Sidy Djitte and Landry Nnoko both have two fouls for Clemson, posing potential foul problems for the Tigers' frontcourt.
