At the annual Step Up To The Plate fundraiser and team function, the Virginia baseball team unveiled their 2015 College World Series championship rings.

The Hoos beat Vanderbilt (and #1 overall pick in the Major League Baseball draft, Dansby Swanson) in three games in Omaha, on the strength of elite pitching and solid defense. Along with timely hits from guys like Kenny Towns, Coach O'Connor's squad brought home UVa's first CWS title.

The 2016 U.Va. baseball season starts February 19th against Kent State, at the Caravelle Resort Tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C.—the site of several "home" games for Virginia during early season snowstorms in 2015.
