Virginia Basketball picked by ACC media to finish third

London Perrantes earns preseason conference honors.

The Virginia Cavaliers were picked by the ACC basketball media to finish third in the conference, behind the Duke Blue Devils, who received 85 of 91 first-place votes, and the North Carolina Tar Heels, who received the remaining six first-place votes.

Senior leader London Perrantes received five votes for the ACC Preseason Player of the Vote and was named to the 2016-2017 Preseason All-ACC First Team, along with Duke’s traveling shooting guard Grayson Allen, Clemson’s Jaron Blossomgame, North Carolina’s Joel Berry II, and NC State’s Dennis Smith.

Virginia’s season tips off at 7:00 p.m. on November 11 at UNC-Greensboro. Stay tuned for continuing coverage from STL.
