ACC Baseball Announces TV Schedule

Bruce Thorson-USA TODAY Sports

The ACC just announced their TV schedule for the upcoming 2016 baseball season. The good news for baseball fans everywhere is that 176 games featuring ACC teams will be broadcast across the ESPN family of networks and regional networks. Even better news is that the ACC will once again be featured prominently in Monday night games on ESPNU, as they have been in the past.

Now for the bad news. The bad news is that even though the Cavaliers are the reigning national champions, it appears they will only be broadcast 7 times before the ACC Tournament in May. Compare that to 2015 when the Cavaliers were on TV 12 times before the ACC Tournament.

Ten, even five years ago, to see UVa baseball on TV seven times would have been great, but this is a different era of online television, and certainly a new era of UVa baseball. So, it is humorous to count only seven games on the schedule that will show Virginia.

Want to watch Louisville baseball? You're in luck! The Cardinals will be featured TWENTY-SEVEN times (nearly half of their games).

Care to check in on the Hurricanes? You have hit the jackpot! Miami is on 43 times this upcoming season.

Want to watch Virginia Tech, who is predicted to have a terrible year and finish near the bottom of the conference? AWESOME! The Hokies can be seen FOURTEEN times this upcoming season. That's right, Virginia Tech will be on TV double the amount of times the reigning national champions will be.

The full TV broadcast schedule can be seen here.
