After struggling with some outside shots to start the game UVA went on a 15-3 run due to a barrage of alley-oop dunks to take a 32-20 halftime lead. The Hoos had 12 first half assists on their 13 made FGs. Meanwhile Virginia's defense forced 8 Hokie turnovers and only 7 made FG's in the first half.
After their seventh straight win, the Cavaliers improve to 20-4 on the year and 9-3 in the ACC. Virginia Tech's record falls to 13-12 and 5-7 in the conference. Virginia is now 32-1 in their past 33 ACC home games in the past four seasons.
UVA travels to Durham on Saturday to take on the unranked 18-6 Duke Blue Devils. Tony Bennett has won in every ACC arena except Cameron Indoor Stadium.
