The active transfer season has continued for UVA football, with Arizona State graduate Jack Powers moving from Tempe to Charlottesville to finish his playing career.

Powers joins former UNC offensive lineman Jared Cohen and former ECU quarterback Kurt Benkert as transfer additions to new coach Bronco Mendenhall's program.

As the tweet from the official program account says, Powers will move from offensive line—which he played at ASU—to defensive end, which was his preferred position coming out of high school. At 6'6 and 290 pounds, Powers looks to be a good fit for strongside defensive end. One of his new defensive line mates was quick to welcome Powers into the fold.

Powers finished his degree in only three years and has two years of eligibility remaining. He'll be able to play this fall for UVA. Like Cohen, Powers did not compete for his former school during the 2015 season but remained enrolled at ASU to finish his degree.
