The defending national champion Virginia men's tennis team swept the Cal Golden Bears in the NCAA semifinals Monday, and advanced to their second championship match in as many years.

The Hoos opened by winning the doubles point with wins by Collin Altamirano and J.C. Aragone at #3, and Thai-Son Kwiatkowski and Mac Styslinger at #2.
Virginia won 5 of the 6 first sets, and cruised from there. Kwiatkowski blew away his competition at #3 singles, winning 6-3, 6-0. Aragone put UVA up 3-0 with a win at #5 singles, beating Cal's Oskar Wikberg 6-3, 6-4. The clinching point came from Henrik Wiersholm at #6, whose 6-2, 6-4 win put Virginia on to the finals.
UVA will play Oklahoma on Tuesday, May 24 at 7 PM Eastern. The championships are hosted by the University of Tulsa.
