Once again, Virginia is hosting a regional at the NCAA baseball tournament. After a hot finish to the regular season, the Cavaliers faltered in the ACC tournament and did not land a national seed; that was expected. After speculation that Navy and/or UConn would come to Charlottesville and that UVa would be paired with LSU, none of those came to pass.
Instead, the Hoos will host No. 2 seed Bryant, No. 3 seed East Carolina, and fourth-seeded William & Mary this weekend at Davenport Field. UVa will play the Tribe on Friday at 1 p.m. ECU won the series against Virginia in February.

Virginia is paired with Texas Tech, meaning that if both they and the Red Raiders get out of their respective regional rounds, the Super Regional would be played in Lubbock.
