Sadiq Olanrewaju is in his fourth year with the Cavaliers. Listed as a senior, the 6'6", tackle by way of Salisbury School in Connecticut missed all of the 2015 season with an injury but will be in the mix for snaps at tackle this year with Eric Smith, Michael Mooney, and Jack English. Olanrewaju played in five of the Cavaliers' twelve games during his true freshman season in 2013, and appeared in eight of twelve games during his sophomore campaign in 2014. Two of those eight appearances that season were starts.
Olanrewaju was a three star recruit coming out of high school and his personal story is quite interesting as he and his family immigrated from Nigeria when was just a boy. He grew up playing soccer, so he demonstrates keen athleticism and footwork for a player his size. That athleticism should come in handy in Robert Anae's fast paced offense.
Olanrewaju is listed as a senior, but due to his injury in 2015, will have two years of eligibility remaining. With both Smith and Mooney running out of eligibility after this season, Olanrewaju could be in line for a bigger role next year, though seeing him play significant time this season is very plausible as well.
