Countdown to Virginia Football: #68 Eric Tetlow

It’s been an up and down career for Eric Tetlow. With 68 days until Virginia Football, let’s take a look at the Junior Center.

Eric Tetlow is in his fourth year in the UVA program, but only played one of those seasons, his freshman year. After appearing in five the team’s twelve games, Tetlow red shirted his second year, and missed the entire year in 2015 due to an injury he suffered in preseason camp.

The three-star out of Richmond caused a signing day stir back in 2013 when we de-committed from Wake Forest and committed to the Hoos. Unfortunately, he was one of thirteen freshman in his class to see playing time in 2013, mostly on special teams, in a year that he could have used for a red shirt. He fell behind on the depth chart in 2014 and ultimately got that year to grow.

While this year, he figures to be behind Jackson Matteo at center, Tetlow could be in the mix as the center of 2017 (and 2018 perhaps with a medical red shirt). Tetlow did play some offensive tackle in high school and given the lack of depth on the line, he could work in at another spot.
