The annual Players vs. Staff Softball Game took place yesterday at the Park, home of Virginia Softball. Though the players change year-in, year-out, but the results stay the same, as the players won for the fourth year in a row, this time 13-6.

London Perrantes finishes his career with a perfect 4-0 record against the staff. Jeff Jones, who joined the team as a walk-on prior to the 2013-14 season, also goes undefeated during his Virginia career.

“The coaches may not be as good at softball as they think they are,” Perrantes said after the game.

“Four years in a row...it’s tough,” head coach Tony Bennett said. “We thought the wooden bats would make it more of a defensive game, and it was for a while, but [there were] a couple unforced errors from some guys. We’ll figure it out.”
