After an emotional number ceremony earlier this week, 11 more Wahoos earned numbers before Virginia plays Richmond in the first game of the season this Saturday.

- Jordan Mack (#37)
- Chris Moore (#39)
- Lester Coleman (#47)
- Robert Snyder (#52)
- Hasise Dubois (#80)
- Joe Reed (#81)
- Alex Furbank (#84)
- Cole Blackman (#85)
- Juwan Moye (#95)
- Landan Word (#98)
Of the 11, all but Coleman are true freshmen. Mendenhall said in his weekly press conference that true freshmen did not have the opportunity to select a number at the first ceremony. Coleman is a sophomore.
Among the players without a jersey are Andre Miles-Redmond, a senior defensive tackle; Darious Latimore, the sophomore cornerback; and Tyler Shirley, the junior long-snapper. Shirley was announced as academically ineligible before the season.
