ACC POWER RANKINGS, Week 2: Will anyone actually win the Coastal?

A little change at the top, but chaos follows.

Two weeks have already come and gone in this 2016 season, but where are we exactly? Clemson, Louisville, and FSU have made it clear they are the cream of the crop. Who is going to win the Coastal? Anybody?

After two weeks here is how the Streaking The Lawn staff thinks the ACC stacks up right now. (Hint: scroll down about as far as you can go to see where the Hoos land)

1. Florida State Seminoles (2-0,0-0) Last week: 2
This week: @ Louisville

We were all looking forward to the 'Noles showdown with Clemson in November, but we could have overlooked this week's game as the one to name the Atlantic winner. Stopping Lamar Jackson doesn't seem easy though.

2. Clemson Tigers (2-0,0-0) Last week: 1
This week: vs. SC State

After everyone expected the Tiger offense to set the world on fire, they have struggled for two straight weeks. With Wayne Gallman, nobody could have expected that Deshaun Watson would need to throw the ball 53 times against Troy. Troy! They'll have a cakewalk this week before taking on Georgia Tech next Thursday on a short week.

3. Louisville Cardinals (2-0,0-0) Last week: 3
This week: vs. FSU

Having Lamar Jackson put up video game numbers (RIP NCAA Football) through two weeks has been fun to watch. We'll see how legit this weekend though when they take on the true cream of the ACC crop.

4. Pittsburgh Panthers (2-0,0-0) Last week: 5
This week: @ Oklahoma State

It wasn't pretty, but 2-0 is 2-0. Traveling to Stillwater to take on an OSU team that is coming off a dumb loss does not seem like it will be easy. If the Panthers win, I think it will be time to anoint them as Coastal favorites until proven otherwise.

5. Miami Hurricanes (2-0,0-0) Last week: 4
This week: @ Appalachian State

Kudos to Al Golden or whoever in the Miami Athletic Department for scheduling an away game at App State. The Mountaineers can obviously hold their own and we'll get to finally found out if Richt has improved the Canes as much as the 2-0 record seems to indicate.

6. North Carolina Tar Heels (1-1,0-0) Last week: 6
This week: vs. JMU

After back to back power 5 games, the Heels deserve an off week. They were able to right the ship last week blowing out Illinois. Although the Heels should watch out, we have heard teams in the CAA are pretty good.

7. Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (2-0,1-0) Last week: 10 (tie)
This week: vs. Vanderbilt

The Yellow Jackets are 2-0, but nobody is sure just how good they really are. They squeaked by BC in week 1 and soundly defeated Mercer this weekend. Vanderbilt this weekend could pose a test and give us more of an idea about Georgia Tech.

8. Virginia Tech Hokies (1-1,0-0) Last week: 9
This week: vs. Boston College

I guess the rock uniforms weren't able to give enough power to take out Tennessee in Bristol. The Hokies open up ACC play this week against one of the best defenses in the conference. Might be more difficult than many would like.

9. NC State Wolfpack (1-1,0-0) Last week: 8
This week: vs. Old Dominion

It is a real shame someone made NC State play a semi legitimate out of conference team like ECU. After cruising through the last 10 years on cupcake OOC schedules, that loss to ECU was fun to watch. Old Dominion should give the Wolfpack another win before ACC play begins.

10. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (2-0,1-0) Last week: 13
This week: vs. Delaware

Wake is sitting pretty at 2-0 and could be staring down the barrel of a bowl in season 3 of the Dave Clawson era. The Quest for 6 is looking pretty good right now.

11. Duke Blue Devils (1-1,0-1) Last week: 7
This week: @ Northwestern

Well, well, well, it appears the Cutcliffe magic actually be out. A loss to Wake Forest at home would certainly indicate it has vanished. Traveling to Northwestern this weekend could be a way to get back on the right track, but who really knows much about this Duke team.

12. Syracuse Orange (1-1,0-1) Last week: 10 (tie)
This week: vs. USF

Dino Babers, welcome to the ACC. We see you got to meet Lamar Jackson, he's a hell of a player, huh? Another home game this weekend against USF should probably get Babers to 2-1.

13. Boston College Golden Eagles (1-1,0-1) Last week: 12
This week: @ Virginia Tech

BC's defense has only given up 21 points in two games thus far. The Hokies' offense has not been great under Fuente, so this could be one of the uglier games of the season.

14. Virginia Cavaliers (0-2,0-0) Last week: 14
This Week: @ UCONN

Though 0-2 is not exactly what we had all hoped for, I am not sure I have ever seen a team happier after losing by 18 on the road. We'll see what happens from here.
