CBS Sports ranks Virginia No. 1 in the College Football Bottom 25

We’re number one! We’re number one!

Sit down, Alabama. This is Virginia’s time to shine.

Tom Fornelli of has developed a super secret formula that’s ranked the teams in the country, and your beloved Virginia Cavaliers have the distinct pleasure of being included in their list of 25, along with such behemoths as MIAMI (....Ohio), FLORIDA (...International University), OKLAHOMA (nothing fancy in parenthesis, this is the real Oklahoma).

Unfortunately, it’s the wrong side of the 25. In Fornelli’s first Bottom 25 of the year, Virginia has found their way to No. 1 after a 37-20 shellacking by Richmond.

“Safe to say the honeymoon period for Bronco Mendenhall at Virginia is already over,” Fornelli writes. “Because things aren't going to get any easier going on the road to face Oregon this week.”

As one of only three ACC teams who lost in week one, Virginia is the only one on this week’s Bottom 25. Boston College lost to fellow ACC school Georgia Tech, while North Carolina lost to to No. 18 Georgia.

Whelp. On to week two, Hoos.
