After splitting their games this week against Pittsburgh and Wake Forest, most expected the Cavaliers to take a stumble in the polls.
The AP Poll saw a bit of a shakeup this weekend after Villanova dropped their first game of the season. Baylor rises from No. 2 to No. 1 and Nova drops to No. 3. Meanwhile, two of UVa’s three losses have come at the hands of teams in the Top 10 with FSU rising to No. 9 and WVU falling to No. 10 (from No. 7).
The Hoos meanwhile fell from No. 11 to No. 19, coming in just ahead of ACC brother, Notre Dame.

The USA Today Coaches’ Poll saw a similar shakeup with the Hoos falling to No. 18 from No. 12. Both polls Top 10 are nearly identical with Baylor at the top and Kansas and Villanova just behind.
