Each week we will be keeping tabs on the former Virginia Cavaliers now in the NFL. Here is how the Hoos in the NFL fared in Week 5:

Starters:

Rodney McLeod - Philadelphia Eagles - Safety - McLeod had three tackles and a forced fumble in the Eagles 34-7 win. His forced fumble came at the end of the blowout game, which showed the former UVA defensive back’s effort, which was noticed by the local media below:

Oday Aboushi - Seattle Seahawks - Guard – Aboushi started at right guard for Seattle in the Seahawks 16-10 victory.

Morgan Moses - Washington Redskins - Offensive Tackle – The Redskins had a bye this week.

Rotation players:

Ahmad Brooks - Green Bay Packers - Linebacker – The former UVA star linebacker recorded one tackle in his 23 snaps of action in the 35-31 Green Bay victory.

Chris Long - Philadelphia Eagles - Defensive End - The former UVA legend recorded one tackle in Philadelphia’s 34-7 win in 29 snaps of action.

Eli Harold - San Francisco 49ers - Linebacker – Harold was in on 24 defensive snaps and 21 special teams plays but did not record a tackle in the 49ers 26-23 loss.

Dontrelle Inman - Los Angeles Chargers - Wide Receiver – The former UVA receiver did not receive a target in his 3 offensive players in the San Diego 27-22 victory. Inman has been the subject of trade rumors to the Giants, who have suffered numerous injuries to their wide receiver corps.

Luke Bowanko - Baltimore Ravens - Offensive Lineman - Bowanko was used as an extra lineman in two offensive plays in the Ravens 30-17 win after being used exclusively on special teams so far this season.

Anthony Harris - Minnesota Vikings - Safety - "Ant" recorded his first tackle of the season in the Vikings 20-17 win.

Austin Pasztor - Atlanta Falcons - Offensive Lineman – The Falcons had a bye this week.

Backups:

Matt Schaub - Atlanta Falcons - Quarterback - The Falcons had a bye this week.

Taquan Mizzell - Chicago Bears - Running Back - Smoke was inactive again for the Bears in their Monday Night loss to the Vikings.

Darius JenningsTennessee Titans - Wide Receiver – Jennings was inactive for the Titans in the 16-10 loss to Miami.

Injured:

Eric Smith - Miami Dolphins - Offensive Tackle – The former UVA lineman was placed on injured reserve due to a knee injury.

Brent Urban - Baltimore Ravens - Defensive End - Urban suffered a Lisfranc foot sprain and was placed on the IR. It is a really tough break for the former UVA lineman as he was finally healthy and was in a contract year.

Maurice Canady - Baltimore Ravens - Cornerback - Canady injured his knee early in training camp and was placed on the IR, but is eligible to return to the roster on week 9.

LaRoy Reynolds - Atlanta Falcons - Linebacker - Reynolds was placed on injured reserve due to a pectoral muscle injury suffered in the preseason.

Cedric Peerman - Cincinnati Bengals - Running Back - Peerman injured his shoulder in the preseason and was placed on the injured reserve, ending his season.

John Phillips - New Orleans Saints - Tight End - Phillips was placed on the injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.

Keeon Johnson - New York Giants - Wide Receiver - Johnson broke his foot in the preseason and was placed on the injured reserve.

Jake McGeePittsburgh Steelers – Tight End – The former UVA star tight end is currently on Pittsburgh’s practice squad.

Max VallesOakland Raiders – Linebacker - The former UVA star linebacker is currently on Oakland’s practice squad.

We will follow the progress of these former UVA stars throughout the season.
