Virginia vs. Virginia Tech scheduled for 8pm kickoff

Hoos and Hokies get primetime treatment for November 24th matchup

NCAA Football: Virginia Tech at Georgia Tech Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Virginia Football will close out their regular season on Friday, November 24 against the Virginia Tech Hokies in Charlottesville. Today, the game time and channel was announced, and it’s time to turn the lights on at Scott Stadium.

This season, Virginia has played in one night game, a 42-23 road upset of Boise State. Virginia Tech has fallen in both of their other 8pm games this season - at home to Clemson and on the road at Miami. This will be the first night game for Virginia/Va Tech since the two played in Blacksburg in 2014.

After being in the top-25 all season, Va Tech fell out of the rankings this week after their loss to Georgia Tech.

With Virginia’s game at Miami being televised on ABC, the Hoos will have back-to-back weeks featured on national stations.

Va Tech has won the last 13 matchups with Virginia’s last win in the series coming in 2003 when Matt Schaub was the Wahoo quarterback and Heath Miller was the tight end.
