Years from now, fans of Virginia football might look back at 2017 as the year the program finally got off the mat. The Cavaliers notched big wins against Georgia Tech, Duke, North Carolina, and Boise State en route to a 6-6 finish and a return to the postseason. Virginia, as you surely know by now, will take on Navy on December 28 in the Military bowl.
I had the chance to sit down with college football host Mark Rogers to talk about the 2017 season, the upcoming bowl game, and the early recruiting signing period. We touched on Kurt Benkert’s development, UVA’s in-state recruiting struggles, a possible “enthusiasm gap” for Navy in the Military Bowl, and more.
