SB Nation’s recruiting expert Bud Elliott is in Orlando, Florida providing live updates at the Under Armour All-America Game, one of the top college football recruiting events in the country.

The event itself is littered with 108 recruits, 74 of whom have already committed and signed, 12 are committed but unsigned, and the rest have not yet committed.

Among those in attendance is Virginia Cavaliers cornerback commit DJ Brown. Brown committed to Virginia back in July, but has still not yet signed with the Hoos. He spoke with the media in Orlando to confirm that, while he’s still committed to the Hoos, he’s interested in a couple new offers he’s received from Cal and Duke. He said he also wants to hear from Northwestern.

A three-star recruit, Brown has not yet taken official visits. His offer from Duke came on Thursday, December 28—the day Virginia got walloped by Navy in the Military Bowl—while his offer from Cal came on December 16. Brown had also received an offer from Louisville as late as December 2.

Brown scheduled, but canceled, an official visit to Notre Dame in early December.

Should Brown decide to sign elsewhere come the February signing day, Virginia has started getting a contingency plan in place. The Hoos have pushed hard for former Duke commitment Taiyon Palmer, a four-star corner out of Georgia. UVA defensive backs coach Nick Howell reconfirmed Palmer’s offer to join the Cavaliers shortly after Palmer announced he would reopen his recruiting.

Virginia has received 19 signed letters of intent for the Class of 2018. You can read all about the early signing period here.
