Virginia head coach Tony Bennett picked up his 200th win in Charlottesville today as the Hoos held on against a dangerous Boston College team, 59-58. The game was all about those named Jerome as BC’s Jerome Robinson went off for 29 points and Virginia’s Ty Jerome had a career-high 31.
Nineteen of Jerome’s points came in the second half, including two late threes and two crucial free throws that helped the Hoos secure the win. He was 11-of-17 from the field and 6-of-9 from three in the game and scored in a variety of ways.
