Virginia Basketball climbs to #15 in AP Poll, #12 in Coaches Poll

Hoos pick up wins over Wisconsin and Lehigh to stay undefeated.

Virginia’s men’s basketball team has climbed in both polls this week, up to No. 12 in the Coaches Poll (from 15) and No. 15 in the AP Poll (from 18). The Hoos are one of 13 undefeated teams, and had a big week with a 49-37 win over Wisconsin and a 75-45 victory over Lehigh.

The Cavaliers. ACC foes Duke (No. 1), Notre Dame (No. 9), Miami (No. 10), and North Carolina (No. 11). Virginia’s next opponent, West Virginia, moved up from No. 19 into Virginia’s vacated spot at No. 18.

Louisville, previously No. 17, dropped out of the rankings following a loss to Purdue in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge and at home to Seton Hall.
