The Charlotte Hornets are going to sign former Virginia center Mike Tobey to a 10-day contract according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Tobey, who played with the Cavaliers from 2012-2016 and finished his career at Virginia ranked first in games played (138), has been quietly impressing folks in the NBA D-League. He is averaging 11.1 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game with the Greensboro Swarm.

With Tobey in the NBA, the Hoos have five players active with Mike Scott (Atlanta), Joe Harris (Brooklyn), Justin Anderson (Dallas), and Malcolm Brogdon (Milwaukee) all currently in the league.
