A trip to Raleigh and a tilt with Mark Gottfrie_’s NC State Wolfpack turned out to be all the struggling UVA offense needed.
The Guy Bun rediscovered his stroke and paced the Hoos with 19 points on 5-of-7 shooting from three, and Virginia knocked off the Wolfpack 70-55.

Devon Hall added 18 points—a new career high—and led UVa in rebounding, with 9. London Perrantes registered a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists, and shot 3-of-5 from long distance.
Probable NBA lottery pick Dennis Smith, Jr. led the way for NC State, despite sitting for stretches of the second half due to foul trouble.
Virginia shot fifty percent from the field in the first half; it was the Hoos’ first time doing so in a half since the second period against Duke on February 15. UVa finished the game shooting 49 percent from the field, and a very nice 69 percent from three (including 4-for-4 in the second half).
The win pushed UVA to 9-7 in the ACC. They return to action Monday night in a big home matchup with North Carolina.
