As of right now, Virginia only has one student athlete joining the basketball team next season (obviously the scholarship held by Austin Nichols is still up in the air). London Perrantes is Virginia’s lone graduating senior, and the Hoos have San Antonio’s Marco Anthony coming in to bolster the squad.
Anthony, who played his final season at Holmes High School this winter, is a 6-6, 220 pound shooting guard. He averaged 25.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game in his senior season, helping to lead Holmes to the playoffs. As a self-proclaimed “pass-first” point guard, Anthony will bring a lot to the Hoos this fall.
Today, Courtside Films released his senior season mixtape.

His jump shot is smooth, he is athletic, and brings a frame similar to Malcolm Brogdon. The future is bright for Virginia basketball who returns Devon Hall, Darius Thompson, Isaiah Wilkins, Marial Shayok, Jack Salt, Jarred Reuter, Ty Jerome, Kyle Guy, Mamadi Diakite, and brings Jay Huff and DeAndre Hunter off their redshirts. Buckle up, Hoos.
