Virginia Cavaliers’ Spring Football Practices and Spring Game Set

The Spring Football Festival coincides with The Foxfield Races.

Virginia Football released its spring practice schedule on Wednesday afternoon. Most notably, the UVA Spring Football Festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 29 at 3:00 p.m. at Scott Stadium.

Does that date look familiar? If so, it might be because you’ve got The Foxfield Races on your mind. Foxfield(s) is also on April 29, which all but guarantees low turnout, other than the diehard fans, at the spring game.

Starting next Tuesday, March 28, the team will practice every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday during the week. Practices are not open to the public, although the media will have a chance to get the first glimpse at the team at open practices on March 28, April 6, April 25 and of course, the spring game.

No details have been released as to the format of the spring game. Stay tuned to Streaking the Lawn for that as it becomes available.

As between Foxfield(s) and the Spring Football Festival, which are you picking?
