After an otherwise down year for the Virginia men’s lacrosse program, first-year Michael Kraus brought home individual honors as the ACC’s Rookie of the Year.

The last Hoo to win conference ROY was long-pole Tanner Scales in 2013.
Kraus led UVa in both goals (34) and points (56) this season. That goal tally ranked him in the top 15 nationally, and second among freshmen. His 56 points ties Kevin Pehlke for second most by a Virginia first-year.
Kraus was also the only freshman player named to the All-ACC team for 2017.
Congrats to Michael!
