Virginia quarterback commit Wyatt Rector had a BIG week at Nike’s The Opening in Charlotte

Florida prospect apparently bouncing back from knee injury

Wyatt Rector, a 2018 quarterback prospect from Leesburg, Florida, who committed to the Virginia Cavaliers in March, graded among the top performers at Nike’s The Opening regional camp in Charlotte.

Rector is coming back from an ACL injury that cut his junior season short. He’s drawn favorable comparison to former BYU quarterback Taysom Hill from none other than former BYU quarterbacks coach Jason Beck. This performance—competing against some of the best talent in the mid-South—should be a welcome sign for UVA fans that Rector’s recovery is coming along just fine.
