The Cavaliers made some program history Monday night when teammates and 3rd years Pavin Smith and Adam Haseley were drafted back to back in the top ten of the MLB Draft. Pavin Smith was drafted No. 7 overall by the Arizona Diamondbacks and just a few minutes later, Haseley was drafted No. 8 overall by the Philadelphia Phillies.
Not surprisingly, Twitter had its fair share of reactions to the two being drafted.

I think Pavin Smith will be the first hitter from this class to make the big leagues. Hiura maybe even more polished, but Smith is healthy.

#DBacks take Pavin Smith - best hitter in the country. Watched him hit lasers out to CF with wood last summer. And just doesn't strikeout

It's an honor to be drafted by the @Dbacks can't thank my family, teammates and coaches enough for helping me get to this point #blessed

I've always like the Brad Wilkerson comp for Haseley. wrote about him trending ahead of Jeren Kendall like 2 months ago, & it happened https://t.co/ioZAJ1N7sF

Phillies scouting director Johnny Almaraz sees Adam Haseley as a 20-25 HR guy. Was their target at 8.

Love for Virginia Baseball as a program and the two going back to back:
College baseball experts Aaron Fitt and Kendall Rogers
That’s a pretty cool accomplishment for that #UVABase program. Two of the best pure hitters in this class, and both have superb makeup. https://t.co/NdCLjKH6Tg

Pavin Smith and Adam Haseley combined for 33 strikeouts this season for @UVABaseball. Both guys incredibly consistent.
