OK. Real talk for a minute. I’ve been super excited by the landscape of Virginia Cavaliers football recruiting the past week. Since Thursday, the Hoos have landed EIGHT commitments. Included in there is one of the nation’s top kickers, another couple of big nasty offensive lineman, the top 2018 prospect in Hawaii, a wide receiver with Big Ten offers, and a 300-pound defensive tackle. All that is fantastic.
But this. This is the story I’ve been waiting to write my whole life, and I didn’t even know it.
There is going to be a football player at Virginia named Wooby Theork.
Proud to announce that I'm committed to The University of Virginia!! ⚔️ pic.twitter.com/59w5p8nuWn

Here are the basics. Wooby Theork is from Naples, Florida. Wooby Theork is 5-foot-10, 165 pounds. Wooby Theork is rated three stars by Rivals and Scout. Wooby Theork has offers from Arizona, Iowa State, Purdue, East Carolina, Cincinnati, UCF, and South Florida.
And Wooby Theork is named Wooby Theork.
There’s plenty of speed to like in this film, as well as a hard-nosed toughness both going after the ball and running after the catch. He frequently bails out his quarterback on some really bad throws (a trait which, historically, is a big plus for wide receivers at UVA). His double moves need to be crisper if he’s going to create separation from FBS-level defensive backs. But you can see lots of good for Coach Hagans to work with.
Welcome to Charlottesville, Wooby. I love you already.
