ACC football kicks off with two days of media coverage

NCAA Football: Louisville at Virginia Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The 2017 ACC Football Kickoff, will take place Thursday and Friday at the Westin in Charlotte, NC. For two days, the media will be getting their first opportunity to interview head coaches and players, as well as cast their ballots on which teams and individuals they expect to excel this season.

The 2017 preseason media poll won’t be released until Monday, July 17, while the 2017 preseason All-ACC teams will be held until Wednesday, July 19.

Representing the Hoos will be QB Kurt Benkert and S Quin Blanding. Earlier this week, Blanding, a 2016 second team All-American, was named to the preseason Bednarik Award watch list for the nation’s top defensive player together with teammate Micah Kiser. Blanding was also nominated to the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for his service to the community.
