The preseason poll for the 2017 ACC football season was released this morning. UVa once again found themselves voted last in the Coastal Division and without any first place votes. Of the 167 media members polled, 103 believe the Miami Hurricanes will win the division while last year’s champs in Blacksburg were picked to finish in second place. The six other Coastal teams received first place votes - showing a division with plenty of potential parity and not a clear front-runner.

Four teams in the Atlantic did not receive any first place votes as well - which speaks more to the media’s confidence in the top contenders in the division. Florida State has been picked to win the division, while the defending national champions in Clemson were picked to finish second.
