Virginia Wide Receiver Olamide Zaccheaus is Ready for a Breakout Year

Could the junior be the answer that Kurt Benkert needs?

The ACC Digital Network identified five ACC wide receivers who are ready to have a breakout season this year, and Virginia’s Olamide Zaccheaus makes the list with his motor and sticky hands.

Zaccheaus started in seven games last year, though he appeared in all 12. He recorded 51 receptions for 584 yards, averaging 11.5 yards per reception, and led the team with seven touchdown receptions.

If the offensive line can give QB Kurt Benkert a little bit of time and protection, the Virginia Cavaliers could be in better shape than anyone is expecting in the 2017 season. Zaccheaus would be a key component to the rebuilding effort.

Also joining Zaccheaus are Wake Forest’s Tabari Hines, Louisville’s Jaylen Smith, NC State’s Kelvin Harmon, and Florida State’s Nyqwan Murray.
