With only two days (!!!) before the Virginia Cavaliers open the 2017 football season against William and Mary, the Hoos’ backup quarterback finally has a jersey number.
Nine more players earned their numbers today:

Stone’s #36 isn’t the typical quarterback number, but will be his for the rest of the season.
The special teams unit now has a full complement of numbers as well, with starting placekicker A.J. Mejia snagging #95, kickoff specialist Andrew King landing #87, freshman Brian Delaney wearing #89, and holder Nash Griffin rocking #81.
Also, special shoutout to getting Ben Trent and Justin Zollar in the same picture. Trent is a 6-foot-5, 320-pound scholarship offensive lineman. Zollar is a 5-foot-7, 170-pound walk-on running back. Somehow, they are of the same species.
