Somehow it’s already Week 4, which means it’s time for a new depth chart for Virginia’s upcoming Friday night game against Boise State.
Redshirt Brenton Nelson remains in the starting safety role after an outstanding one-interception, eight-tackle, two-passes-defended performance against UConn on Saturday.
De’Vante Cross is once again listed under wide receiver and boundary corner. Cross picked up his first reception of the season on Saturday when he hauled in an eight yard pass from Kurt Benkert.
The offensive line shuffles have continued with Dillon Reinkensmeyer listed at center and Jake Fieler listed as right guard. That is how the duo started the game against UConn, but this is the first time they’ve been listed as such on the depth chart. Freshman Ryan Nelson joins the two-deep as the backup to left tackle Jack English.
In some good news, Joe Reed is listed on this week’s depth chart after departing the UConn game early with an apparent injury.
