Each week we will be keeping tabs on the former Virginia Cavaliers now in the NFL. Here is how the Hoos in the NFL fared in Week 3:

Starters:

Ahmad Brooks - Green Bay Packers - Linebacker – The former UVA star linebacker recorded his first sack with the Packers in a 27-24 Green Bay victory. He also recorded another tackle in his 32 snaps of action. Here is a video of his sack of Andy Dalton.

Morgan Moses - Washington Redskins - Offensive Tackle – Moses and the Redskins trounced the Raiders on Sunday Night Football 27-10, putting up 472 yards to Oakland’s 128. The former UVA star lineman was tasked with stopping the reigning NFL defensive player of the year, Khalil Mack. Moses more than held his own, only allowing one sack in his 68 snaps on offense.

Oday Aboushi - Seattle Seahawks - Guard – Aboushi started at right guard for Seattle in the Seahawks 33-27 loss. The former UVA lineman’s 73 snaps was his first game action this season for Seattle.

Rodney McLeod - Philadelphia Eagles - Safety - McLeod missed the Eagles win over the Giants due to a hamstring strain.

Brent Urban - Baltimore Ravens - Defensive End - Urban suffered a foot sprain after just 19 plays in the Ravens loss to Jacksonville in London. Unfortunately, it could be a serious lisfranc injury.

Rotation players:

Chris Long - Philadelphia Eagles - Defensive End - The former UVA legend did not record any tackles or sacks in his 27 defensive snaps in the Eagles win. However, Long’s biggest news came off the field when he announced earlier that he was donating his first six game checks to charity.

Eli Harold - San Francisco 49ers - Linebacker – Harold recorded two tackles in just 26 snaps in San Francisco’s 41-39 shootout loss on Thursday Night to the Rams.

Dontrelle Inman - Los Angeles Chargers - Wide Receiver – The former UVA receiver made his first catch of the season in the Chargers 24-10 loss. Hopefully Inman can get in on more than just 14 offensive snaps, since he had over 800 yards last season.

Luke Bowanko - Baltimore Ravens - Offensive Lineman - Bowanko was again limited to only one special teams snap in the Ravens blowout loss to Jacksonville. The former Jaguar lineman was facing his former team for the first time and the Baltimore Sun wrote a piece about it below:

Anthony Harris - Minnesota Vikings - Safety - “Ant” was in on 19 special teams plays in the 34-17 Vikings win.

Austin Pasztor - Atlanta Falcons - Offensive Lineman - Pasztor was active for first time all season and saw six special teams snaps in the Falcons win.

Backups:

Matt Schaub - Atlanta Falcons - Quarterback - Schaub did not see any action in Atlanta’s thrilling win over Detroit.

Taquan Mizzell - Chicago Bears - Running Back - Smoke was inactive in the Chicago win over Pittsburgh.

Eric Smith - Miami Dolphins - Offensive Tackle – The former UVA lineman was listed as inactive again for the Dolphins.

Darius JenningsTennessee Titans - Wide Receiver – Jennings was promoted from Tennessee’s practice squad to the 53-man roster this week. Hopefully he can make his Titans debut next week.

Injured:

Maurice Canady - Baltimore Ravens - Cornerback - Canady injured his knee early in training camp and was placed on the IR, but is eligible to return to the roster on week 9.

LaRoy Reynolds - Atlanta Falcons - Linebacker - Reynolds was placed on injured reserve due to a pectoral muscle injury suffered in the preseason.

Cedric Peerman - Cincinnati Bengals - Running Back - Peerman injured his shoulder in the preseason and was placed on the injured reserve, ending his season.

John Phillips - New Orleans Saints - Tight End - Phillips was placed on the injured reserve with an undisclosed injury.

Keeon Johnson - New York Giants - Wide Receiver - Johnson broke his foot in the preseason and was placed on the injured reserve.

Jake McGeePittsburgh Steelers – Tight End – The former UVA star tight end is currently on Pittsburgh’s practice squad.

Max Valles – Oakland Raiders – Linebacker - The former UVA star linebacker is currently on Oakland’s practice squad.

We will follow the progress of these former UVA stars throughout the season.
