Virginia keeps winning and the Hoos keep climbing up the polls. This week, the Cavaliers were voted No. 2 in the latest AP poll, trailing only Villanova. Virginia (16-1, 5-0 ACC) picked up wins over Syracuse and NC State this week, making them the only undefeated team in ACC play.

Purdue comes in at No. 3 this week, followed by Oklahoma and Duke to round out the top five. West Virginia, who lost to Texas Tech this week, dropped four spots to No. 6. Somehow Wichita State dropped two spots without losing to come in eighth, followed by Texas Tech, a recently struggling Michigan State, and Kansas in for the complete top ten.

The ACC dropped to five schools in the top 25 with No. 3 Virginia, No. 5 Duke, No. 15 North Carolina, No. 20 Clemson, and No. 25 Miami all making the cut. Florida State dropped from the rankings this week. The Big 12 also had five schools in the rankings this week, followed by the Big Ten with four as Ohio State and Michigan jumped into the rankings.
