Virginia Football hosts Miami under the lights for a night game October 13

We’ve got a night game, folks!

Get ready, Virginia fans. The Hoos have a night game. The ACC announced Monday that the Virginia vs Miami kickoff on October 13 is set for 7pm.

Miami is currently ranked No. 17 in the AP poll and is 4-1 (1-0 ACC) on the season. They are coming off of a dominating 47-10 win over UNC, and host Florida State this coming weekend as the Hoos have a bye.

This is the first time since 2014 the Hoos have a Saturday night primetime game, and the contest will be aired on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. Virginia Tech vs. UNC is the other game competing for that ESPN2/ESPNU time slot.

It’s also Homecomings Weekend in Charlottesville, so there’s plenty of festivities to take part in. Before the game, head over to JPJ Arena and get your first glimpse of the Men’s Basketball team as they play in the Pepsi Blue-White Scrimmage. The start of the scrimmage has been set for 2pm, and the women’s squad will play a 15 minute exhibition after the guys.

JPJ gates will open at 1pm and admission for the game is free. After the game, fans will have a chance to meet the teams.
