There’s only one thing that could be the soundtrack for this week’s news update:
That’s right, y’all: THE MACK IS BACK.
The Virginia Cavaliers’ depth chart for their upcoming Friday tilt against the Pitt Panthers indicated that Jordan Mack is ready to return at something close to full health.

Mack made a brief appearance in the win over North Carolina, joining the goal line package for a run stuff that was negated by a VERY late replay review of the previous play. He has sat out since suffering an injury against Louisville on September 22nd.
In his weekly press conference, head coach Bronco Mendenhall noted one other personnel move that is not reflected on the depth chart. Freshman running back Perris Jones will be seeing some added action on kick returns.
“From fall camp to now,” Mendenhall said, “he was just outperforming others in practice. Our kickoff return is underperforming in my mind, so if you perform well in practice & can help out, we will make those changes.”
Jones is 5-foot-8, 180 pounds, and came to UVA from Episcopal in Alexandria. His appearance in the UNC-Chapel Hill game was the first of Jones’ college career.
Liberty kickoff time
Virginia also announced today that the final home game of the 2018 season—against Liberty on November 10—will kick off at 3 PM and be televised on ACC regional sports networks.
Liberty is currently 4-3 after consecutive wins against Troy and Idaho State. The Flames travel to Amherst to play UMass on Saturday before making the trip up Route 29.
