UVa-VT Football Game Scheduled for Kickoff at 3:30

NCAA Football: Louisville at Virginia Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The ACC announced on Monday that the annual Commonwealth Cup clash between the Virginia Cavaliers and Virginia Tech Hokies will kickoff at 3:30 PM on November 23rd.

With just one weekend remaining, the Hoos will enter their rivalry game with the Hokies at either 8-3 or 7-4 following their game in Atlanta against Georgia Tech this weekend.

The Hokies are having one of their worst seasons in recent memory having dropped three straight and five of their last seven games. They take on Miami this weekend and could enter the UVa game at 4-6, though their game against ECU in September was canceled.

As any VT fan will tell you, football is their life blood and they’ve made a bowl game every year since Jesus roamed the earth, so if Miami can beat the Hokies this weekend, the UVa game could officially end their bowl hopes for the 2018 season.

Also of note, former STL writer turned(coat) Justin Ferber notes this will be the first time in a long time the Cavaliers will have the better record in the game.

SB Nation’s Bill Connelly predicts UVa to be about a 3 point favorite using the S&P+ analytic system.
