The Virginia Cavaliers football team suffered a tough loss over the weekend, coming up just short against Georgia Tech in overtime, 30-27. In other news, we found out that the team opened up as four point favorites over their rivals, Virginia Tech, for this Friday’s contest, which I guess is a good thing? UVA men’s soccer also bested Furman in the second round of the NCAA Tournament yesterday; they’ll face Notre Dame in South Bend next Sunday.

Hunter picked 12th in new mock draft (CBS Sports)

Another NBA Mock Draft, another lottery prediction for sophomore forward De’Andre Hunter. Though we are only through a few games in the season so far, Gary Parrish of CBS Sports currently has Hunter going twelfth overall to the Brooklyn Nets.

Anthony Harris, a 2013 first-team All-ACC performer for the Hoos, intercepted the Chicago BearsMitch Trubisky two times in Sunday Night’s NFL game. Harris, who is the first Viking to record two picks in a game this season, entered the contest with just one career interception.

The Virginia Women’s Soccer Team fell to Baylor in the Round of 16 of the NCAA’s yesterday evening, 2-1. Despite the loss, it was another successful season for Steve Swanson, who was in his 19th year as head coach, the coaching staff, and the rest of the ladies!

Way to go, coach!
