Unsurprisingly, the Virginia Cavaliers retained their spot at No. 4 in the AP Poll after staying perfect and moving to 3-0. Virginia has yet to be challenged, but that changes as they head to the Bahamas this week to partake in the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis event. The Hoos will face Middle Tennessee State on Wednesday night, then either Dayton or Butler.

Wisconsin, which is across from UVA in the tournament bracket, jumped into the rankings this week at No. 25. The Badgers are the only other ranked team participating in the event, and are one of six Big Ten teams ranked this week. Florida, which is on Wisconsin’s side of the bracket, also received votes this week.

The top seven teams went unchanged in this week’s rankings with Duke retaining the top spot. Kansas, Gonzaga, Virginia, and Tennessee round out the top five. Villanova, which lost to Michigan and Furman this week, fell completely out of the rankings.

Along with Duke and Virginia, the ACC had North Carolina (No. 7), Virginia Tech (No. 13), Florida State (No. 14), and Clemson (No. 16) in the rankings. Syracuse, which fell out of the rankings after losing to UConn and Oregon, received votes this week, as did Miami and Notre Dame.
