“We are excited to welcome Casey and Kadin into the Virginia men’s basketball family,” Coach Tony Bennett said in the release from VirginiaSports. “These young men are talented, competitive and have great character. Casey and Kadin understand the value of a degree from UVA and we are looking forward to them joining our program next fall.”
Morsell is a 6’2 guard out of St. John’s College High School in Washington, DC. He’s rated as the No. 4 shooting guard in his class, and No. 55 overall player. He chose Virginia over Virginia Tech, Penn State, Oklahoma State, and a host of others. Morsell participated in USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team training camp this past summer and played for the Peach Jam winning Team Takeover on the EYBL circuit.
Shedrick, a 6’11 center from Holly Springs, NC, is an offensively gifted player that received offers from Florida, Georgia Tech, Georgetown, and more. He’s No. 52 nationally, and the No. 13 center in his class. Shedrick had a huge summer, exploding on the scene and getting tons of attention before verbally committing to the Hoos.
Welcome to Virginia, guys!
