After capturing the Battle 4 Atlantis title on Friday, Rob Dauster of NBC Sports said the Virginia men’s basketball team deserves to be in the conversation for the best team in the country alongside Duke, Gonzaga, and Kansas. This year might be the year, Dauster noted, that the Wahoos dispel that narrative that claims “Virginia is [...] not talented enough to win it all.”
Hall named 24th overall pick (The Draft Network)
In a new NFL mock draft, Benjamin Solak of The Draft Network listed junior cornerback Bryce Hall as the 24th pick going to the Pittsburgh Steelers. On the breakout star, Solak wrote, “How he moves at his size is what really makes him a promising corner at the next level.”
Insight on Perkins’ record breaking season (NBC 29)
Despite football’s disappointments down the stretch of the regular season, quarterback Bryce Perkins continued to impress in his first year under center. Following Friday’s contest against Virginia Tech, Perkins’ total offensive yardage climbed to 3,314 yards and his touchdown total improved to 31, both school bests.
