In somewhat of a surprise, Virginia men’s basketball moved down two spots in this week’s AP Poll to number six, despite maintaining a perfect record through nine games. Both Tennessee, who bested former top-ranked Gonzaga on Sunday, and Michigan surpassed the Cavaliers in the rankings for the first time this season.

Malcolm Brogdon came up big again for the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, drilling two late threes to give his team the lead for good over the league-leading Toronto Raptors. Brogdon scored 18 points in all in the win.

Walker claims 2018 Web.com tournament title (PGA Tour)

UVa alum Danny Walker won the Final Stage of the 2018 Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona, posting a final-round 63 for the come from behind victory. With the win, Walker, who finished play at 27-under, earned fully-exempt status on the Web.com Tour for all of 2019.

Hall named to All-American team (Football Writers Association of America)

Junior defensive back Bryce Hall was tabbed a second team All-American by The Football Writers Association of America on Monday, becoming the first UVa cornerback to earn the distinction. The selection comes just four days after the Walter Camp Football Foundation also named Hall a second teamer.
